Jared's 1st baseball game

His first at bat he hit a double.
The next time he batted, he hit a homer!!  He was so excited and said it felt really good!
He played in center field and only had a few balls come his way.  Later in the game he played 3rd base.  The Fireballs won the game 14-3.  They play again on Wednesday night.  They have 22 games during regular season to play, and a chance at more if they win in the tournament.  There is also a possibility to play for the all-star team  if they are selected!

Opening Day for Baseball

Jaydon is playing t-ball this year.  This is his first time ever playing an organized sport. Of course, he's been to many of his brothers' games, but never played anything himself.  He really didn't know what to expect and was a little hesitant to play.  But after a few practices, I think he really enjoyed it! His team is the Bears.
Josh and Jared are playing in the minors (kid pitch) this year and are luckily both on the same team.  That sure cuts down on the running around for me!  They really didn't want to play this year (as they've had 2 years off from baseball), but I decided to sign them up anyway.  Now, they are both have a great time and seem to be excited about the season.  Josh has been playing 1st base and pitching and Jared plays in the outfield and 3rd.  They are both good batters, but Jared just has a natural swing and when we connects with the ball...it's gone!  The boys team in the Fireballs!

Taylor Swift Concert

Our neighbors had box tickets to the Taylor Swift concert last night.  So I took Josh and Jared and their friend Matthew from the football team.  It was the first concert for all of them and Matthew is a HUGE Taylor fan.  The concert was sold out for the 2nd night in a row.  It was so fun to see their faces and how much they enjoyed a live show!  It did get over late, we left at 10:15 and she was still singing.  She put on a good show!!!
She acted out a lot of her songs and showed the story that went along with them.  The boys were amazed at how many different guitars she played during the show.
They were also surprised at how many times she changed her outfits!!!
Josh liked this part best, it looked like a church.

Typical Saturday Morning

Aren't Saturday mornings wonderful?  It's so nice to relax and not rush around in the morning.  Corey and I take our time, enjoy our comfy pants, and drink our coffee.  Bandit follows Corey around, waiting for him to play.  The kids stagger down the stairs, one by one.  Josh is usually first, then Jaydon, and finally Jared.

Warm weather play

Cassie was hanging upside down off the swing set.
Imagine that!!!  Jaydon is playing in the water.  Jackson is helping him fill a water gun.
Even the big kids (Corey) were playing basketball.  No fair when you can touch the rim without jumping.

Spring is in the air

The kids helped decorate the cupcakes for dessert, but couldn't keep away from them until dessert.  A few of the cupcakes disappeared before the meal.
Easter was such a beautiful day this year.  Everyone in the neighborhood was out.  The kids hunted Easter eggs, had water gun fights, rode bikes, and played basketball.  Cheeks and arms were red from this first dose of sun.  I guess it's time to break out the sun screen!
Yes, Jaydon has snow boots on.  He tends to run around outside with no shoes or socks.  Even in the last snow storm, he ran outside in his bare feet.  I don't know how he can handle it, but he prefers it.  He always puts his helmet on to ride his bike, but doesn't always have his feet covered.  Everyone gave him a hard time about shoes yesterday, so he ran in and grabbed the first, easy thing he could slide on...which happened to be his snow boots.

Happy Easter

Jaydon woke up and found his basket from the Easter bunny.  He had candy and bubbles and a new bubble machine.  Then he got busy hunting the eggs.  He is so dramatic and animated when he is excited, it cracks me up!
Our family portrait after church.  The kids are getting so big we almost can't fit on the loveseat together.
Look at those three handsome boys, and they actually look like they love each other!
