Uncle Nate

The boys love their Uncle Nate.  He loves kids and it shows, they love him back!  Jared even wanted his hair to be like Nate's.  So Nate got out the clippers and gave him a much needed haircut.
He gave him some hair styling wax that smells really good.  So now Jared has a funky little style!  He loves it and so do I!  Thanks Uncle Nate!!!!!
Jaydon wanted to pose silly for a picture with Uncle Nate, so they both closed their eyes.  Normally, you would just think the picture was taken when they were blinking, but this was on purpose!  Cute, I love it!

Kylan and his cousins

Cheers!!
Kylan and Uncle Corey like to relax together.
Josh and Jared each took turns reading a book to Kylan before bedtime.
Ky loved hearing the books and was so cozy he could have stayed in bed with the boys each night.

Playing at the Park with Ky

Everyone headed to the park for the afternoon.  The boys enjoyed pushing their cousin in his stroller.
They each took a turn helping Ky hit the ball with the bat.
What a cutie!!!
Jared likes to climb to the top of the playground and sit on his perch to look at the park.
When we got back, they played Legos.

The Gerlick's Visit from South Dakota

Jaydon had a great time showing Kylan how to work the slip-n-slide in the warm morning sun.
Ky didn't have a swim suit, but played in his clothes in the water.  He would inspect the holes where the water comes out when the water was off, then Jaydon would run over and turn the water on and spray Ky in the face.  He didn't seem to mind.  He would run away and catch his breath from the cold water.
While the little boys were playing in the water, the big boys were playing basketball on the patio.

Jaydons T-Ball Game 4-17-10

Jaydon played in the dirt at the boys game.  He played after them and was already dirty, before his game started.
Still batting left-handed!
He looked better today in the field.  He had a few moments, visiting, playing in the dirt, and adjusting the cap, but all-in-all he did pay attention better!

Josh Baseball Game 4-17-10

Josh's home run swing!!  The kid hit an in-the-park homer today and scored his brother (RBIs).  Way to go JOSH!!!!
Rounding 2nd base...
And coming home...
He was so happy!!!
He mostly played 1st base, but saw some action at center field also!

Jared Baseball 4-17-10

Jared was walked this time.
But Josh batted him home with the homer he hit.
Jared scooped a grounder and threw it to first while playing short stop.

Bathroom Remodel--Update

Finished the backsplash on the vanity today.  It just needs grout!
I still need to paint and hang the mirror.
Corey finished putting the big tiles in the shower and around the front of the tub.  Of course, it will look a little different with grout
We are getting so close.  I can see it all coming together and I'm getting exited!!!!  Can't wait to show you the finished bathroom!

Jaydon's First T-Ball Game

It's been a few years since we've had a t-baller.  I had forgotten just how cute they are, wondering around in all of their confusion.  Parents are yelling at them to run or not run, and try to keep their eyes on the ball.  Too cute!!!!  Jaydon was no different from the rest of them.  He writes with his right hand, but swings a bat and golf club left-handed.
He played 3rd base, or I should say, he stood by 3rd base for most of the game.  When he saw a ball hit, he would chase after it, even if it went to 1st base instead of 3rd.  Then other times he would be checking the clouds or grass, or have to adjust his cap.

Josh's First Game

Josh got walked a lot during this game.  It's hard to make a great hit when you don't get a good pitch.  He also played 1st base and really liked it.  He's excited to get the ball thrown to him for the out!
The coach rotated the kids around in the field so they all got a chance to play a couple of positions.  Josh also played center field.

I think he like pitching the most.  You can see Jared playing 3rd while Josh is pitching.  Looks like he missed a belt loop on his pants at 6:30 this morning.

Jared's 1st baseball game

His first at bat he hit a double.
The next time he batted, he hit a homer!!  He was so excited and said it felt really good!
He played in center field and only had a few balls come his way.  Later in the game he played 3rd base.  The Fireballs won the game 14-3.  They play again on Wednesday night.  They have 22 games during regular season to play, and a chance at more if they win in the tournament.  There is also a possibility to play for the all-star team  if they are selected!
