Bandits are 2 and 2...

Bandits suffered their second loss today at the hands of the Predators. It was a very close game during the first half and tied at halftime. However, the second half got a little out of control and we lost 52-19. It's never easy to lose, but we gain so much knowledge from the hardship and actually come out ahead. Great job boys, I'm so proud of you!

Fall Mountain Color

We took Grandma Doris to the mountains to see the changing colors of fall. We stopped at Georgetown and let the kids play at a park. Josh took this picture at a lake by Georgetown. He is going to enter it into the PTA Reflections Art contest. Jared to the picture of the leaves floating in the lake. I think he was trying to capture a shot of minnows or tadpoles, but he kept scaring them off.

A Day Out With Thomas...and Jaydon

We took Jaydon to the Colorado Railroad Museum this morning to see Thomas and ride on the train. He was a little reluctant to board at first, but once he realized the whistle wouldn't be too loud, he really had a great time.

Jaydon & Cassie

Jaydon read Cassie "The Little Train" before naptime. Neither one ended up taking a nap, but it was really cute to watch them try. Grandma Doris came to visit for the weekend with Grandma Sandy. She was getting all the hugs and kisses she could!

2nd Football Game

Wednesday night the boys (Josh & Jared) played their 2nd game of the season. The Bandits got off to a slow start and were behind after the first few minutes, but managed to come back and lead at the half 20-6. The 2nd half was much better and all the kids really got into the game. Jared returned a kick-off for good yardage and it took 5 kids to stop him. The final score was 45-6. So far we are undefeated!!! Josh and Jared are playing next to each other on the left side of the line this year. Josh also plays backup quarterback. Corey is the assistant coach and pretty much runs the offense. He gets very excited during the game and sometimes has an "America's Funniest Home Videos" moment! Hopefully next game I'll get some pictures and/or video of the boys (and Corey, we could all use a good laugh!) to post to the blog!

God Said...

Nap time today at the Staab house... Mom: "It's time to rest!" Jaydon: "I can't, God told me to build a train track!" FYI: The boys have been watching Even Almighty (a movie about Noah's Ark).
